- U17 Western Canadian Finalists
Congratulations to our U17 team who were silver medal finalists at the Western Canadian championships held in Winkler Mb, from August 17th to 21st. After a 5 and 1 finish in the round robin, our team moved through the semi final game Sunday morning and on to the final game Sunday afternoon. To our players and coaches, we are very proud of you and your strong performance.

- AAA Tryout Prep CampIf you are a softball player in the Southwest region of Winnipeg and are interested in attending a preparation camp to either sharpen your softball skills prior to a tryout with one of our teams or to continue your softball skill development join us on: Sunday August 20th from 1 – 4 p.m. at Marj Edey Diamonds Registration deadline is Sunday August 13th. To register submit an email including CAMP REGISTRATION as the subject line, your player’s name and birth date to vvccsoftball@gmail.com Payment of $50 can be forwarded to rachel@halldottersports.ca Your spot will be reserved once payment has been received.
OUR HISTORY
The Smitty’s team formed by Roy and Evelyne Holenski in 1975 blazed the trail for teams to emulate in the years following. This teamhas compiled an enviable record over the years. It was formed as a community club team out of Grant Park Harrow in South Winnipeg, comprising 10 girls from Evelyne’s Grade 5/6 class at Harrow School. They were Manitoba champions that year….
